Linking
One identity across Discord and Steam
Players link once. Roles apply automatically. Moderators can see who is who without spreadsheets or guesswork, and without you standing up any infrastructure of your own.
Benefits
Less work, more control
PlatformSync removes the busywork from running a server network.
Cut manual moderation hours
Automated role assignment means fewer tickets, fewer mistakes and fewer late-night fixes.
Tighten your security
Verified identities make ban evasion and alt accounts markedly harder to sustain.
Onboard players faster
New members link once and get their access immediately, without waiting on a moderator.
Capabilities
What it does
Everything you need to keep identity consistent across a network.
A managed Discord bot
Invite it, configure your roles and let it run. We host it, patch it and keep it online. There is no infrastructure for you to maintain.
A Rust server plugin
The companion plugin ties the linked identity through to your game servers, so in-game permissions follow the Discord role.
Nitro Boost rewards
Grant different rewards to Nitro Boosters and to verified users. Supported on both the free and Pro plans.
Account searching
Look up any linked account inside your own organisation. Pro extends the search across the whole PlatformSync database.
API access
A public API endpoint for linking Steam and Discord IDs, so you can build your own tooling on top.
Unlimited support
Support is included on every plan, free ones too. We built the tool, so we fix it fast.
Use case
For creator-led server networks
Spoonkid Rust runs five US servers with 27,000 monthly players and a 65,000-member Discord. PlatformSync keeps roles accurate across all of them, without a moderator having to check anything by hand.
Use case
For tournament organisers
Rust Kick Off needed verified rosters for 150 creators across 10 teams. PlatformSync delivered clean participant lists before day one.
Pricing

FAQs
Straight answers about setup, Steam requirements, Discord permissions and support.
How long does setup take?
Most organisations are live within an hour. The setup guide walks through inviting the bot, creating a verification channel and installing the Rust plugin. Our support team helps with the rest, on both plans.
What does a player have to do?
Link once. The player connects their Discord and Steam accounts through the PlatformSync linking page, and roles and access apply automatically from then on.
What Discord permissions are needed?
PlatformSync needs standard bot permissions to manage roles and read member data. Every permission is documented, along with why it exists.
Does it support Nitro Boosters?
Yes. Both the free and Pro plans support Discord Nitro Boosting, so you can grant different in-game rewards to Nitro Boosters and to verified users.
What is the difference between the free plan and Pro?
The free plan gives you the full Discord bot and Rust plugin with account searching inside your own organisation, plus unlimited support. Pro adds global database searching across the whole PlatformSync network, a custom landing page and a custom bot name.
